ST. LOUIS (March 23, 2007)-April 27th will be a gala evening of dinner and dancing at the Coronado Ballroom, 3701 Lindell Boulevard. The event, Pennies from Heaven, is an annual fund raiser benefiting The Haven of Grace, which serves young pregnant women ages 16-24 by providing a safe home, parenting skills, and education so they graduate and become tax paying citizens.

This year, Pennies from Heaven is going to be a celebration of our women and their families. Each table will be named after either a current resident or an aftercare client, with a photo exhibit of that family as a centerpiece.

"This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for The Haven but beyond that, we want to highlight the success that The Haven brings about for the women and families that it serves," said co-chair Tammy Lang.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 7 PM. Next will be a delicious sit down dinner followed by dancing. Included in this evening is a silent auction featuring a round of golf at the Chicago Golf Club. This is the first 18-hole course in the country (1893), and founding club of the USGA (1894).

The Haven of Grace, a ministry of faith, is a residential and aftercare program, providing a safe, nurturing and educational environment for homeless, pregnant women by focusing time and resources on mother and newborn as they become a family and begin to establish their life together in the community. Since 1988, The Haven of Grace has served over 500 women and their children. Currently, The Haven provides services for 270 women and their 454 children in its 10 year Aftercare program.
