"GOLDEN TICKET" EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!

Nearly 150 Haven of Grace “friends and family” descended upon Wes Johnson’s trendy Salt Restaurant on October 23rd to support young mothers and children in need. The “Night of the Golden Ticket” event drew a record crowd and record results for The Haven's annual fall fundraiser -- exceeding its anticipated goal by nearly $34,000!

Together, Golden Ticket Event Co-Chairs Melissa L. Haupt and Christy Marshall planned a special evening of fine food and wines, “Goldentini” cocktails, and Cole Porter tunes delivered by vocalist Deborah Sharn. Award-winning chef, Wes Johnson and his crew delivered a meal to remember, including Salt’s signature salad, sorghum-lacquered duck with sautéed swiss chard, and apple galette with salty caramel ice cream.

The live auction, featuring exciting sports packages, behind-the-scenes opportunities, fine jewelry, and a luxurious week-long cruise aboard the SeaDream Caribbean Voyage, helped to push the event’s proceeds to new heights, resulting in gross receipts of $82,000.

Sponsors of The Haven’s special evening included: Lee and Mike Moisio, Moneta Group, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Louis AT HOME, Argent Capital Management, Katherine and Charles Betz, Centene Charitable Foundation, Enterprise Bank & Trust, HealthCare USA, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Medical Transportation Management, BradyBrook Designs, Décor Interiors and Jewelry, National Sports Agency, Salt, Stolze Printing and Strategic Sales Systems, Inc.

The entire Haven of Grace family salutes Christy and Melissa for their tireless efforts to support young mothers as they work toward independence and self-sufficiency.
