On a warm January day, photographer
Lisa Nordmann, owner of Nordmann Photography, came to
The Haven of Grace to share her talents and to give
each woman a special gift.
For more than two hours, Lisa photographed
10 current residents, their children, and 10 aftercare
families. “Volunteering my photography is a way to give
back to the community. I am very blessed with an amazing
family, business and wonderful loyal customers. We give
a lot of photo sessions and prints to auctions, but
to be actually involved with The Haven of Grace brought
charitable giving to a meaningful level,” said Lisa.
What she really hopes is that “the
women take away their own beauty. A pregnant women,
no matter what the circumstances, is a beautiful being.
I also hope through the images they saw the loving connection
between themselves and their children.”
Not only did Lisa donate her time,
she also gave each woman a family portrait. For some
this was their first “real” family picture. Lisa has
also generously created a DVD slideshow that will be
shown at this year’s Pennies from Heaven, and she will
be donating a photo session to the silent auction.
