Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to help the mothers and children who call The Haven of Grace home. For volunteer opportunities, please call 314-621-6507.

*The safety of our clients is our first priority.  All volunteers will complete a screening process based on volunteer position.  One-time direct childcare volunteers can complete their requested volunteer screen.

The Haven of Grace is unable to accept individuals who are volunteering solely to fulfill a court order.

  • Committee & Leadership Opportunities

Help guide The Haven of Grace toward a successful future by sharing your knowledge and experience. Most positions include regularly scheduled meetings, once a month or less.

  • Gardening, Grounds & “Honey Do” Tasks

Roll up your sleeves and help maintain The Haven of Grace gardens and grounds. Plant flowers, pull weeds, pick-up litter, or help with other jobs like painting or spring cleaning.

  • Sorting Donations

The Haven of Grace garage is full of donations (clothes, household goods, furniture, and more) for the Maternity Center residents and Aftercare clients. Volunteers are needed to sort donations and organize them on our shelving units.

  • Other Opportunities

You can also help The Haven of Grace by volunteering to host baby showers or diaper drives for us at work, school, church or with other membership organizations. Collect items that are necessities for The Haven of Grace mothers, infants, toddlers and preschoolers and drop them off at the shelter.

  • Group Volunteer Projects

Volunteer groups of up to 15 people are welcome at The Haven of Grace. Each group will be assigned different tasks depending on The Haven of Grace needs. To schedule your group, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at least two weeks prior to your volunteer date.

Your gift builds hope.

The Haven of Grace gladly accepts donations of new baby items and other basic supplies commonly used by the young mothers, preschoolers, toddlers, and infants residing in our Maternity Shelter.
